Stacey & Allison Welcome You Aboard!

Great friends, sailing partners and virtual sisters, Stacey & Allison love to sail together as a team...........making their mutual goal to make sure anyone who sails with them has fun, is safe and learns a little along the way. Having sailed together not only in the Caribbean but in many great sailing venues around the world, they have grown as a great working partnership and team. They are looking forward to welcoming you aboard and sharing with you one their life passions........the beautiful sport of sailing! Welcome Aboard!

Allison began her sailing adventures at the young age of five in Galveston Bay, Texas. She began sailing a Laser with her parents and brothers. Her favorite memories were of the watermelon races at the Seabrook Sailing Club in which, in her case, the kids went overboard to retrieve the greased watermelons. The challenge and fun was getting the greased melons back to shore/finish line in a Laser already loaded with Mom, Dad and three kids.
Around middle school, Allison’s dad bought a Ranger 29’ which was berthed at the Watergate Marina. Allison advanced to spinnaker person when they began racing in the summer regattas. Throughout middle school and high school, they raced and pleasure sailed almost every weekend. After high school, she took a break from sailing to go to college and start a career.
In 2006, she and her best bud Jesse decided take a weeklong sailing class in the BVI. After Allison’s extensive research and detailed spreadsheets, they chose Sea Dog Sailing with vibrant captain and teacher Stacey Brooks. Allison obtained three certifications that week…ASA 101, 103 and 104. During a wonderful week in the BVI, Allison and Stacey bonded like sisters and continued with years of sailing and working together.
Since 2006, Allison has sailed two Harvest Moon Regattas along the coast of Texas from Galveston to Aransas Pass. She owns a Sunfish which she sails on the Colorado lakes (Lake Vallecito, Lake McPhee, and Lake Granby). As First Mate with Capt. Stacey, she has sailed the BVI numerous times, the French West Indies, Spain, Sicily, Croatia, Malta and Greece!

Captain Karl

Karl was born and raised in South Africa. From a young age he had a love for the ocean and decided that he should take that love further and start a career on the ocean.
Starting as a PADI MSDT and EFRI instructor he then took to motor boats and got his SAMSA surf launch endorsement. He then fell head over heels for sailing and got his RYA coastal skippers certification. Not long after he received his RYA Yacht Master Cert. At present he has completed ASA 101-105 and soon will be doing his ASA instructor rating.
Karl has extensive sea time on both motor and sail yachts and has travelled the globe sailing and diving. Delivering yachts from South Africa to the Caribbean as well as sailing and delivering in Hawaii, Karl has gained valuable experience.
In the past year he has sailed with Stacey in Italy, Spain, throughout the Grenadines and the Caribbean as well as completing a yacht delivery to the Dominican Republic.
Future plans are to become an accomplished yacht surveyor and to do his RYA Yacht Master instructors ticket. In addition, Karl wants to help young people in future to fall in love with the ocean as well. Teaching Career Development Courses is something that both Karl and Stacey would love to build together.

Welcome aboard! We are so looking forward to having you aboard our yacht Blithe Spirit II.

Whether it's learning, pleasure sailing, couples, a family get away or a corporate team sail we are ready to show you the beauty of the sea and the challenging sport of sailing!
